A full year of operation with the Taimi swivels now. We are very satisfied with the product. They are without a doubt the most reliable swivels we have ever used. We like them so much that we are buying a few more for our other machines.

Softwood Logging Services has been an established logging company in Western Australia for approximately 15 years, in this time we have grown from crews of hand fallers to completely mechanized forestry practices involving around 55 dedicated forestry machines plus support and operator vehicles. We have taken advantage of any new technology as it becomes available (we were first company in Western Australia to use single grip tree harvesters).

Approximately 2 years ago our company embarked on a machine upgrade program to take advantage of new opportunities in the logging industry in Western Australia. We purchased 4 machines with feller buncher heads and 6 skidders. These machines are a change from our previous cut to length operations.

Due to the higher hydraulic pressures the new machines are running we have had high failure rates on the standard swivels that came with the machines. We have tried different brands of swivels including a locally made product, as well as modifying the swivels with an engineer who assists us in a lot of machining and fabrication work. All attempts at achieving a swivel to last more than 300 hours in a high pressure environment has failed.

One of our managers came across your products when he visited Elmia Forest Exhibition. We purchased a pair of the -16 swivels, and although we have only been running these for about 700 hours, we are very impressed. They have proven to be very compact, robust and mainly trouble & leak free.

These swivels have solved a problem that had been plaguing us since taking delivery of the new machines. We are now in the process of purchasing more of the swivels to replace the remaining ones still in operation.
